Haikui, the third typhoon China faces in a week, ploughed into the eastern coast on Wednesday (8 August 2012), halting transport and toppling houses in eastern Chinese cities. The typhoon made landfall early on Wednesday morning in Zhejiang province south of Shanghai, after authorities moved more than one million people out of the path of the storm, reports said.
