Tourists brave strong wind and heavy rain caused by Typhoon Haikui on the bank of the West Lake in Hangzhou city, east Chinas Zhejiang province, 8 August 2012. Haikui, the third typhoon China faces in a week, ploughed into the eastern coast on Wednesday (8 August 2012), halting transport and toppling houses in eastern Chinese cities. The typhoon made landfall early on Wednesday morning in Zhejiang province south of Shanghai, after authorities moved more than one million people out of the path of the storm, reports said.
