Heat wave: temperatures in Bulgaria hit record levels again
Sofia, Bulgaria. 24th August 2012 -- In the capital Sofia the thermometer at the central fire station reached 37 degrees, making the day one of the hottest of the summer. The lack of any wind compounds the situation and makes it almost unbearable to be outside during early afternoon. -- Temperatures all over Bulgaria reach record levels again during the second heat wave of the summer. While the thermometer reached 40 degrees in some places, shipping on the Danube is restricted because of exceptionally low water levels.
