Unions in Spain demand a referendum on the austerity policies

Madrid, Spain. 15th September 2012 -- Cndido Mndez, Sec Gen. UGT greeting a colleague at the end of the official speeches in Colon. -- Cndido Mndez, Secretary General UGT, speaking to demonstrators in Colon demanded a referendum on the austerity policies claiming there are alternative policies. Ignacio Fernndez Toxo, Sec Gen CCOO, said that a general strike was democratic right.
