The Pillar of 'St Gregory the Miracle-Worker'

A woman makes a 360-degree circle with her thumb in a hole on the rectangular pilar situated in the nave of the Haghia Sophia Museum. The pillar, also known as the Sacred Column and the Sweating Column, is believed to have healing properties. The Haghia Sophia Church, built in the 5th century and converted to a mosque in the 15th century, is now a museum. Istanbul, Turkey.
