Japan's TEPCO Outlines the Plan for Cleaning Up Radioactive Contamination
November 7, 2012, Tokyo, Japan - President Naomi Hirose and all executives of Tokyo Electric Power Co., attend a news conference at its head office in Tokyo on Wednesday, November 7, 2012., to announce its action plans. Hirose, leading the internal Nuclear Reform Special Task Force, outlined the plans to cut costs and make the Japan's largest utility more competitive. At the same time, the operator of the crippled nuclear power plant sought more government financial support to cover the huge costs of decommissioning the plant and cleaning up radioactive contamination.
