FARC declares a unilateral ceasefire

Leftist rebels of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) announced 19 November 2012 a two-month unilateral ceasefire, during peace talks with the Colombian government in Havana. FARC spokesman Luciano Marin, known under the alias 'Ivan Marquez,' said the group will halt all military operations as of 20 November until January 20.
