Potencial Sabotage At San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station

Nov. 30, 2012 - San Clemente, California, USA - The San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station concrete containment domes can be seen in this view looking south early Friday morning.Southern California Edison, the operator to San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, stated Thursday the potential of tampering or sabotage when they discovered an emergency diesel generator's coolant and hydraulic fluids within the unit had been cross contaminated. The grassroots environmental group, San Clemente Green, announced in an early morning press release early Thursday, a whistleblower at the plant had come forward, announcing that SCE officials had acknowledged the potential of sabotage at the plant and notified the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
