The eastern face of the Seattle Central Public Library, along a stretch of 5th Avenue
The eastern face of the ultra-modern 2004 Seattle Central Public Library building -- along a stretch of 5th Avenue in downtown Seattle. The glass and steel diamond patterned design with floating platforms is featured. Varied types of people are using the sidewalk along the library. There are trees, streetlights, a newspaper dispenser, and pigeons on the sidewalk. The glass face reflects the U.S. Court of Appeals Courthouse building, built in 1940 -- that resides across the street to the east.
