French village prepares for the end of the world - Bugarach

Bugarach, France. 28th October 2012 -- The Pic de Bugarach towers above the village of the same name. Some people believe that the mountain attracts UFOs. Others think that the summit is a safe haven protected from the end of the world, supposedly predicted by the Mayan calendar. -- Many believe that this village of 196 inhabitants will be spared from the alleged Armageddon on 21 December when the Mayan calender ends. Authorities fear that Bugarach will be inundated with survivalists trying to take refuge on the nearby mountain.
