Senator Inouye Lies In State At U.S. Capitol
Dec. 20, 2012 - Washington, District of Columbia, U.S. - Senator DANIEL INOUYE (D-HI) lies in state in the Capitol Rotunda on Thursday following a ceremony during public viewing. Inouye passed away at the age of 88 on December 18 at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. Inouye, a decorated World War II veteran and the second-longest serving senator in history will lie in state until Friday when a memorial service will be held at the National Cathedral.
