Lava and moss landscape in the autumn, Snaefellsjokull National Park, Iceland
Snæfellsjokull National Park is situated on the Snæfellsness peninsula. The park was established on June 28, 2001 and is approx a 2 hr drive from Reykjavik. The park includes many sites; Snæfellsjokull Glacier, Djupalonssandur beach, Saxholl volcano crater, Londrangar the two massive lava formations, Songhellir and Raudfeldargja the hidden waterfall.
