Germany Painting Returned

Germany Painting Returned

A visitor stands in front of the painting 'Sunrise' (1913, Oil on canvas) of Otto Dix (1891-1969) in the Stadtmuseum (City Museum) of Dresden, eastern Germany, Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013. It's the first official presentation of the painting, a present to the City Museum in 1920, after the confiscation through the Nazis 75 years ago. Dix, the great German Expressionist, was famous for his unique and grotesque style. Although Hitler's Nazi regime destroyed many of Otto Dix' works, the majority of his paintings can still be seen in museums throughout Germany. (AP Photo/Jens Meyer)
