Commemorations held on 65th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's Death
Amritsar, India. 30th January 2013 -- A tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the anniversary of his death by the workers of Indian National Congress in Amritsar. The spinning wheel represents Gandhi's notion of working with one's own hands, spinning cloth for one's own use. -- Groups from various parts of society including school children and members of the police force paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the 65th anniversary of his death. Tributes included a gun salute and offerings of flowers at his monument.
