Freed Britons in Berlin

Freed Britons in Berlin

Standing beside an RAF transport which flew them from Moscow to Berlin, April 21st, are five of the six Britons and an Irish priest who have been released by the North Koreans. Left to right: George Blake, British Vice-Consul in Seoul; Bishop Alfred Cooper, Anglecan missionary; Commissioner Herbert Lord of the Salvation Army; Norman Owen, First Secretary of the British Legation in Seoul; and Monsignor Quinlan. The party told newsmen that many of their fellow prisoners died of disease and malnutrition.
