Raymond L.S. Patriarca of Providence, R.I. (L), was one of three men sentenced 3/25 to 5-year prison terms and $10,000 fines each after being convicted of murder conspiracy. Patriarca was identified in 1963 during a U.S. Senate subcommittee hearing as the chief of the New England Cosa Nostra. Sentence was delayed pending an appeal.
