Christchurch Earthquake Memorial
Feb. 22, 2013 - Christchurch, New Zealand - A memorial service to mark the second anniversary of the Feb.22, 2011 earthquake that decimated Christchurch and left 185 people dead was held in the city's Latimer Square. The service featured prayers, hymns, talks by Prime Minister John Key and Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker, a community flower tribute and a moment of silence at 12:51 p.m., the time the quake struck.
