Nakhon ratchasima, Thailand. 10th March 2013 -- A ramshackle wooden structure provides shelter for an elderly woman and her relatives in this northeast Thai village. Water jars line the side of the house and serve as vessels for collecting rainwater to drink throughout the year. -- General conditions for Thailand's elderly in the northeast provinces of the country remain hard, particularly for those living in more rural villages. Many use rainwater for drinking and grow chilis to eat with sticky rice, the staple diet.
