(130401) -- GUATEMALA CITY, April 1, 2013 (Xinhua) -- An indigenous survivor gives his testimony during the trial against former Guatemalan President Jose Efrain Rios Montt at the headquarters of the Supreme Court of Justice in the Guatemalan capital on April 1, 2013. Former Guatemalan President Efrain Rios Montt and his former head of Military Intelligenc Mauricio Rodriguez Sanches face charges on genocide and crimes against humanity on the trial which started on March 19, 2013. Guatemalan Attorney charged Rios Montt as the mastermind behind the slaughter of 1,700 mayan indigenous and over 1,000 sexual assaults committed by soldiers during his 1982-83 rule, according to the local press.
