Historical weapons being decorated with gold plating and engraving
Amritsar, India. 2nd April 2013 -- Mukesh, Udhipur based gold smith is working day and night at Akal Takhatm restoring the grandeur of historical weapons. Most of the gold is donated by the Sikh devotees and is converted to 100% purity before being plated over the weapons. -- Weapons used by Sikh Guru's and warriors hundreds of years ago having historical value are being restored to their original grandeur by Baba Narinder Singh of Nanded. The original gold is removed and engraving is filled by fresh gold at Akal Takhat.
