Devenish Island monastery was established in the 6th Century by Saint Molaise, as a stop on the pilgrim route to Croagh Patrick. It is considered to be one of the finest monastic sites in Ireland. The round tower was built in the 12th Century and can be climbed by using the 30 metre internal ladders. County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.
