Angola - Diamond Mining

Angola - Diamond Mining

Miners break the rich rock layer prior to sifting it 28 March 2013 in in search of diamonds near an Angolan village not far from the Congolese border. Finding even a very small diamond may require long days of work. Even months can pass by without discovery of any gems at all. The name of the village is not disclosed by request of locals. © Olivier Polet
