Newly ordained Buddhist monks on first week of almsround in Thailand

Nakhon ratchasima, Thailand. 4th June 2013 -- Buddhist monks prepare to chant a blessing after having been given cooked rice by villagers whilst on their daily almsround. The tradition of offering food to monks is a practice that has been carried out since the time of the Buddha 2,600 years ago. -- Four young Thai men are engaging in a different lifestyle to many 20-year-olds after having been newly ordained as Buddhist monks. They joined two more senior monks as they took part in their first week of recieving almsfood collected from villagers.
