Nakhon ratchasima, Thailand. 13th June 2013 -- A Thai farmer holds up a bunch of pink lotus plants she has harvested from a pond. The flowers and stems are used to make various Thai dishes including a popular form of hot curry mixed with coconut milk. -- Farmers in northeast Thailand are resourceful with their land at times when rice isn't being grown. Ponds and tanks used to irrigate the paddy fields are often full of pink lotus flowers, the stems of which are cooked with coconut to make curry.
