The NGO ACTED delivers roughly 3.5 to 3.7 million liters of water per day to water tanks around Zaatari camp, which shelters some 100,000 Syrian refugees in Jordan, April 8, 2013. The camp, which receives several thousand new arrivals each day, is costing Jordan millions of dollars, and a great strain on the country's resources. The United Nations estimates that the number of Syrian refugees is currently over one million, most of whom are living in neighboring countries.
