Nakhon Ratchasima Candle Festival at start of Buddhist Lent
Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. 26th July 2013 -- Intricately carved sculptures made entirely out of candle wax depicting the Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra (L) and the leader of the opposition Abhisit Vejjajiva, form part of a magnificent display at the Nakhon Ratchasima candle festival. -- Each year at the start of the Buddhist rains retreat, magnificently carved yellow candles depicting scenes from the life of the Lord Buddha, mythical figures and tributes to His Majesty the King are paraded through the streets of Nakhon Ratchasima.
