It can reach up to 270 cm in length and weigh up to 300 kg feeding primarily on smaller fish, crustaceans and even small turtles and sharks. -- The Giant Grouper, Epinephelus lanceolatus, can reach up to 270 cm in length and 300 kg in weigh, being the largest bony fish inhabiting coral reefs. Due to overfishing, this species has declined drastically and is considered vulnerable by the IUCN.
