After completing their 3 times around, they wash their faces, hands, legs in the Holy stream in a symbolic act of spiritual renewal. -- Pilgrimage is a wide-ranging topic touching on many aspects of human existence, signifying not only a physical journey but also an inner spiritual journey and indeed life itself. Pilgrims in Poland carrying this tradition since the 16th century.
