Parbuckling operation sees Costa Concordia returns to upright position
Giglio Island, Italy. 16th September 2013 -- The side of the ship has been successfully dislodged from the reef after the application a maximum load of 6,000 tons -- The wreck of the Costa Concordia cruise liner is now upright and resting safely on a specially built artificial sea bed at a depth of approximately 30 meters after a parbuckling operation was successfully completed.
