Typhoon Haiyan's trail of destruction through Tacloban City
Tacloban, Philippines. 11th November 2013 -- Typhoon Haiyan's strength caused the sea water to surge into villages in Tacloban City, Leyte Island, central Philippines, wrecking houses made of light materials and stripping most concrete structures. -- Tacloban City lies devastated after Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest storms on record, ripped through the city causing a swathe of destruction. So far authorities say 2,357 people have been confirmed dead in the disaster.
