French cyclist Jean Stablinski, of teh Ford-France-Hutchinson team, mends a flat tire during the 1966 Tour de France at the stage between Nancy and Paris. While descending the Col de Soulor, Jean Stablinski repairs a flat tire on his bicycle as the other riders carry on with the race. Cyclists were obliged to carry out their own repairs in the early days before the back-up sponsor's teams came into existence.
