Original caption:5/27/1965-Lewiston, ME: A dramatic overheard photo reveals Sonny Liston spread-eagled on the canvas as heavyweight champion Cassius Clay raises his arms in triumph after a minute of the first round of their title bout here May 25th. Referee is former world heavyweight champion Jersey Joe Walcott. Clay retained his crown after the one minute knockout victory. The bizarre battle immediately triggered nationwide demands for a probe of the fight itself and a demand for federal control of boxing.
