FBI Wanted Poster for James Earl Ray

Original caption: 4/20/1968-Washington, D.C.- The FBI issued this flyer when they placed the name of James Earl Ray, a Missouri prison escapee sought in connection with the slaying of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., on its list of "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives." The picture at right was issued on an FBI wanted flyer April 18 with the name of Eric Starvo Gault, but with eyes drawn in by an artist. After identifying Gault as James Earl Ray on April 19 the FBI inserted the eyes from another picture.
