Original caption: 7/21/1959-New York, NY- Crowds mill around St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church as the casket of blues singer Billie Holiday is brought out following a solemn requiem mass. Miss Holiday died from heart failure brought on by congestion of the lungs. She had been hospitalized for more than six weeks.
