Experimental 1950 Buick LeSabre

Original caption: 12/22/1950 - Detroit, MI -You probably won't see this complete car on the roads, but if past experience is a guide, many of the innovations contained in General Motors' experimental "Le Sabre" car will be part of your car of the future. Powered by a 500-pound experimental V-8 engine, the jet-styled auto is constructed of currently expensive materials such as magnesium and aluminum alloys. The body is only 36 1/4-inches high, but has a ground clearance of six inches.
