Original caption: 2/21/1948-Prague, Czechoslovakia- Czech Communist Premier Klement Gottwald is shown before a battery of microphones as he addressed a mass meeting from a Prague balcony after anti-Communist memebers of the government had resigned. To hear Gottwald tell it, the problems could only be settled by an all-Communist government. President Eduard Benes got in the way however, by refusing to accept the resignations of the anti-Red ministers. Deadlock has remained so far. But the latest reorts from Prague are that Premier Gottwald is ready to submit an "ultimatum" Cabinet list. This report follwed a Communist raid on the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party in Prague.
