Head and Shoulders of Cuvier's Toucan

Head and Shoulders of Cuvier's Toucan

The Cuvier's toucan uses its brightly coloured beak as a flag, enabling it to be spotted by others of its own species. The beak's size, measuring 12 cm long also enables the toucan to frighten off smaller birds so they can pillage their nests.
