The King of the Xhosa people, King Xolilizwe Sigcawu, awards Nelson Mandela the ancient tribal warrior honor of the Isithwalandwe Sesizwe, for the first time in two centuries. A feather from a Blue Crane bird, a leopard skin and crown and a zebra chair were bestowed on Mandela as "a symbol of the appreciation of his Xhosa people and of the African masses whom he relieved of the yoke of oppression and colonialism." | Location: Quadu Great Place, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
