Alexei Gubarev (Left) and Vladimir Remek of the International Soyuz 28 Crew

Ships commander Alexei Gubarev of the USSR and cosmonaut-researcher Vladimir Remek of Czechoslovakia are members of the first intenational crew of a spaceship, the Soyuz 28, launched March 2, 1978. They join two Soyuz 26 cosmonauts who have broken the manned space endurance record aboard the orbiting spacelab Salyut 6.
