Eleanor Roosevelt delivers a message to the American people in a radio broadcast during the Second World War. Following her husband's death Mrs. Roosevelt devoted her time to her work for the United Nations. She was a delegate to the UN Assembly in 1946, chairwoman of the UN Human Rights Commission, 1946-51, and US representative at the General Assembly, 1946-52. She was also chairman of the American UN Association.
