Hyannis, Mass.: Mrs. Joan Kennedy, wife of U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.), is behind the wheel of a blue Chevrolet convertible (with the Senatorial license plates USS 1) at Hyannis. Mrs. Kennedy did the driving as she, the legislator and two of their children came to Hyannis to attend Mass. Senator Kennedy received a suspended two-month sentence after pleading guilty to the charge of leaving the scene of an automobile accident. In the recent accident, a young woman passenger was killed when the car Senator Kennedy was driving went off a small wooden bridge.
