Planes Flying over May Day Parade

Planes Flying over May Day Parade

Original caption:Wings Over Moscow...On May Day. Moscow, U.S.S.R.: Moscow's May Day bristled with the spirit of militarism. One of the features of the day, in Red Square - the political stage of Red Russia - was a great tank parade, during which hundreds of lumbering forts on caterpillars rolled through the square, and airplanes created a deafening roar of approval, with wise open motors running at full load, as they flew over the procession. In this view of the tank parade, the giant propaganda plane Maxim Gorki is seen flying above the square, escorted by two "Gad-Fly" two seaters.
