Young Scientist Working in Laboratory

Young Scientist Working in Laboratory

Li-Ho, a Chinese-American high school student, examines a set of test tubes. He, along with fellow student Yu-Fong Hong, has been mapping cancer-related genes as part of the Human Genome Project. They are among the youngest scientists ever to work on the project. Their work has been overseen by Bill Pence, their biology teacher, as well as Dr. Greg Lennon (right), a senior biomedical researcher at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
