Li-Ho (left) and Yu-Fong Hong (right), Chinese-American high school students, pose with a model of a DNA molecule. The students have been mapping cancer-related genes as part of the Human Genome Project. They are among the youngest scientists ever to work on the project. Their work has been overseen by Bill Pence, their biology teacher, as well as Dr. Greg Lennon, a senior biomedical researcher at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
